Tata Motors is an Indian manufacturing company that produces cars, trucks and SUVs in addition to commercial vehicles, military equipment and locomotives. Tata was founded in 1945 and built it’s first car in 1954. In India, Tata is best known for inexpensive city cars and commercial trucks, while luxury car enthusiasts worldwide know Tata Motors as the owner of Jaguar Land Rover, an acquisition made in 2008. Owners can use a Tata repair manual to diagnose and repair any problems.

In the United States, Tata Motors was virtually unheard of until the purchase of Jaguar Land Rover from Ford Motor Co in 2008. Tata immediately set about refreshing and improving the aging lineup of sports cars and sedans produced under prior manufacturers.

Tata Motors introduced a new convertible sports car for the Jaguar range, called the Type-F to acclaim. For the first time in the line, Tata replaced the entire design of the XJ saloon, still the flagship of the Jaguar line, but now completely modern. Along side the new XJ, Tata introduced the XF, a mid-range family sedan and the first SUV to wear a Jaguar badge, the F-Pace.

Along with Jaguar, Tata has carried forward the Land Rover lines and introduced new models such as the Evoque, a compact SUV with a lower price point than many of the larger Land Rover and Range Rover products. Tata Motors has continued to produce tough, off-road capable vehicles, a market Tata has been invested in heavily in the home market for decades. New Land Rover vehicles include the Range Rover Sport, Velar and the fifth generation Land Rover Discovery.

In India, Tata makes a range of small cars and light trucks that are sold across India. Tata is the third largest automobile manufacturing company in India. Popular Tata products have enabled the company to expand beyond the region, and now sell cars, trucks, buses and SUVs in 26 countries worldwide.

The Tata service manual provides detailed diagrams and exploded views of various components to aid the do it yourself mechanic in removing, inspecting and replacing worn and damaged parts. Maintenance is easy no matter what model of Tata vehicle is in need of repair with the Tata service manual.
