FORD FIGO PETROL AT LAUNCHED.

FIGO AT BETTER THEN SWIFT AMT! BUT WHY?

Ford Figo petrol is back with a automatic gearbox. The current generation of Ford Figo was launched back in 2016 and it was offered with a DCT gearbox back in the time with petrol. But after the BS6 emission norms, Ford gave the Figo a new petrol engine but there was no automatic on offer.

Figo’s current situation in Indian market is not the best. The sales are really poor. Ford haven’t sold even a single unit of Figo last month which is shocking for a car like this. Figo rivals the Maruti Suzuki swift and Hyundai grand I10 nios. Both the rivals are offered with a AMT gearbox but Figo has a advantage here.

Ford gave the Figo a 6-speed torque converter gearbox which is far better then a AMT gearbox in terms of shifts and smoothness. The torque converter is way smoother as compare to AMT in terms of shifting the gears.

Ford Figo comes with a 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to this fresh 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The Figo automatic starts at ₹7.75L (EX-SHOWROOM). Figo offers good amount of features like Hill launch assist , 6-airbags, rain sensing wipers, traction control system etc. Ford offers a warranty package of 3 years or 1 lakh km as standard. So overall , the Figo automatic is looking good.
